So I’m Blogging Again?

So, apparently I’m blogging again.

I’ve not really blogged reguarly since 2018, but before that I’d maintained a a WordPress Blog for the best part of fifteen years, and before that had a LiveJournal which I loved. I miss those LiveJournal days. Blogging felt like it had a purpose – I was connecting with the world, talking about my work, my life, my interests… then it all became a bit more corporate and work-related and I lost my passion for it. My zest.

I’ve used the word ‘zest’ a lot recently. I think I’m okay with it.

Anyway. A friend came to visit me this weekend who I have known for years but we really became friends after following each other’s LiveJournal accounts back in 2004. And it struck me how much I miss just keeping a little online log or blog or journal. I’m not promising balance, sense, or purpose. But here be words.

… hmm, is writing a blog post about wanting to write more blog posts really a blog post, or does it not really count and, thus, I’m not yet blogging again? Oh, fuck knows.
